Estimated Net Loan Amount

Maximum net Loan Amount is $25,000 which does not include utility company rebates. All rebates will be deducted from the construction costs prior to funding. All loans under $5,000 have a maximum term of 60 months.

Applicant Acknowledgement:

If you are applying for an emPower home upgrade loan, you acknowledge receipt and agreement to the terms and conditions outlined in the emPower Financing Packet (www.empowersbc.org), including, but not limited to, eligibility, use of participating contractors, and submission of the required documents.
You understand that preapproval is subject to lender receipt of all required documents. You also understand that should the project take in excess of 60 days, from the time of application to the completion and validation of the project, Ventura County Credit Union, at its discretion, can credit qualify the loan a second time prior to funding. In addition, you certify that all measures in the bid contract/scope of work submitted for emPower financing have been deemed eligible for a rebate by Energy Upgrade California and California Solar Initiative (if solar projects are included in loan application).
You also agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ventura County Credit Union and/or Santa Barbara County, Ventura County, or San Luis Obispo County and their authorized officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, actions, losses, damages, and/or suit arising from work financed in this Loan application.
You understand that the selection of the lender and the contractor and the acceptance of the materials used and the work performed are your responsibility, and that emPower and the County of Santa Barbara, County of Ventura, or County of San Luis Obispo and their directors, officers, agents, and the lender do not guarantee the performance, quality, or workmanship of the property improvements. You understand that your loan will be directly with the lender and not with emPower or the County of Santa Barbara, County of Ventura, or County of San Luis Obispo.

Consent and Authorization

I authorize Ventura County Credit Union (VCCU) to obtain my credit history. I understand that VCCU may contact me for additional information. VCCU may obtain information from others about me and give information to others to obtain my credit history. I understand that all funds advanced to me will be subject to the terms and conditions of the loan agreement. By submitting this application electronically, I agree to the same terms that apply to a signed application. If there is a co-applicant on this loan, that co-applicant has authorized the submission of this application. The electronic submission qualifies as my signature. I understand that I/we will have to sign loan documents before funds can be disbursed. This authorization does not constitute a commitment to grant or extend credit.
